Nicole Nemesi is a Techspressionist artist who is loosely identical to Madam Memoticon. If MM is the manifesto, NN is the confession: vulnerable yet magnetic, turning wounds into quiet incantations. MM speaks in declarations: sharp, feminist, conceptual. NN whispers in stories: personal, fragile, human. She’s the diarist to MM’s activist. They overlap and intersect; they sometimes dispute and often complete each other. Together they stretch the boundaries between art and biography, persona and person.
Lately:
After its wanderings in bits and pieces at Piso Cuatro–Espacio Central Park in Buenos Aires and in the cybernooks of The Wrong Biennale, Nicole’s short film Insomnia haunted in Copenhagen, Denmark on 23 Nov, like a stray, sleepless thought at the 60Seconds Festival.
It was tossing and turning in Valencia, Spain and Gol, Norway, too, as one of the 10 one-minute movies selected for screening at the One-Off Moving Image Festival between 23–30 Nov.
It has been selected for Lift-Off Sessions 2026 – Volume 1, streaming on Vimeo from Jan 12–25.
It has also been chosen to continue its nocturnal journey at the CBS Library in Frederiksberg, Denmark, from 1 Dec to 31 Mar 2026 at the 60Seconds Festival.
Currently, Nicole is preparing to participate in a community exhibition in her hometown.
